12-hour French Intensives for the Summer
You can use your 12-hour French Intensives for the Summer in a number of ways:
1) One-on-One $549.00
This is minimally 1 hour per week. Two or more is recommended to get you to the next level in the minimum time. It is intensive, you get homework and you learn a lot.
You can use these hours for any objectives in French, any level.
2) You Want to Skip French 2? Bring 1 or 2 Friends with You
If you want a one-on-one, pick the package above.
You do this intensively, 2 hours/week

These classes occur between 10 am – noon PST every Monday.

Who is this “skip French 2 class” for?
This is not a course for brand-new beginners. It is for students who are already familiar with some French basics, such as pronunciation, “être, avoir, faire, aller,” masculine, feminine, singular, plural of nouns and adjectives, present tense of regular verbs, being able to introduce yourself and say a few basic things such as talking about the weather, going shopping etc.
What is the program?
The 12-hour “Skip French 2” class will cover all what you need to know to prepare for the exam to get into French 3. You’ll learn quantities, time, comparisons, expressing yourself in the past (how to use the passé composé and imparfait) as well as in the future, understand how each group of verbs works as well as the use of the different modes, how to use the relative pronouns, the direct and indirect pronouns, prepositions and idiomatic expressions. This is a lot to cram in 12 hours. Others did it before you and so can you. You need to do your homework in addition to the 2 hour class.

It is recommended to purchase the following manual:
Grammaire Progressive du Français by Maïa Grégoire – Niveau intermediaire* which we’ll be using.
I recommend purchasing as well Vocabulaire progressive du français A1- Débutant by Claire Miquel* – we won’t have time to use this book in this class but it will give you all the basic vocabulary handy by subject with exercises. The book is entirely in French and is not for brand-new beginners but good for a level 2 beginner.
